Yes, you can attend the program 100% online using your computer and/or smart device. We use Zoom conference for an engaging and interactive experience.

Some of us prefer to attend trainings in-person. But there are many factors that can make it a challenge to do so: travel expenses, time away from home, scheduling difficulties, and the myriad of preferred learning styles and speeds. That’s why our global student population loves the online coach training courses offered here at Coach Training World! In a recent poll conducted through our private Facebook group, we discovered that students found “no difference” in their learning capacity between training live online and in-person. This was especially true when considering the interactive design of our Intensives and our attention to support. These findings can’t diminish how much we love having you visit us here at our facility in Portland, Oregon. But the web-based coach training program opens our curriculum to a diverse mix of students around the globe – deepening the learning for all of us. That’s why so many new and seasoned coaches are gravitating toward the online platform. If you’re participating for the first time, you still might be wondering about the actual experience. Here’s what you can expect…

The virtual experience So what’s it like to train online for three days? As any of our graduates will tell you: it’s convenient, comfortable and immersive. Our Virtual Intensives are highly interactive. Expect a comprehensive mix of education on all the essentials and coaching competencies. These are combined with active participation in demos, group discussions and practice sessions. You’ll also have unlimited access to the vast coaching resources and manuals we’ve amassed in the past two decades in our student center. And we’ll be there to mentor you every step of the way. If you have questions or need any additional support, we’re ready to help. Feel free to chime in at any point if you need further examples or explanation on any of the concepts we present. By the way: that doesn’t apply to just questions – if something strikes a chord with you, let us all know. Our differences make us great! You may share an example that snaps a concept into focus for someone else. Don’t be shy: your contribution makes our Online Intensives unique to you!

Technical aspects We use Zoom, a web-based platform that provides conferencing and messaging on any device. One of things we like most about the platform is that it gives you the option to view all the participants at once or focus solely on the speaker. During breakout sessions, you’ll move to a private chatroom with 1 to 4 other people, depending on the exercises. Here you can enjoy the privacy to practice, deepen your understanding of the material, and apply it to your chosen application. Many coaches have discovered new opportunities based on the conversations and ideas that spring from these fun, creative gatherings. Plus, you’re only a click away from calling your instructor’s attention should you need help or additional clarification on something. We are always there for you! The Zoom conference setup allows you to attend on multiple devices, syncing between your smartphone, tablet and home or office computer. We recommend participating on the largest screen possible. This enables you to see the other participants and allows them to see you. For this reason, we do ask that you participate on a device that has an active web-cam.

Yes. You can work through the full program self-study if you apply for a certificate from Coach Training World.

You may also attend entirely via self-study if you are working toward a Board Certified Coach (BCC) certification from the Center for Credentialing Education.

However, if you plan to pursue a credential from the ICF, you must attend the better portion of our live training intensives live due to ICF requirements.

You may do this 100% online via Zoom.conference or in-person.

Yes. Our programs run 4-6x a year.

Your first course INSIGHT is 100% self-study and can be started immediately upon enrollment.

At this time you can also choose to work with your own personal coach. This is included in your tuition and optional.

At the time of enrollment you’ll be able to schedule your 4 live intensives in order. Please note you can attend in-person, via zoom or self-study.

Please note: Module 4 is also self-study. We suggest you complete that prior to Module 5 if possible.

Additional coursework and ICF mentoring are available if you live in a different time zone.

From time to time, we all have unavoidable scheduling conflicts or find ourselves a little under the weather. All of our sessions are recorded, enabling you to take part live or at a time that’s more convenient for you.

Audio files of our calls are uploaded to the web and available for on-demand streaming. This ensures that you’ll never miss out or fall behind. Please note: if you are applying for your ICF credential and know that you are going to miss more than a couple hours of training, Contact Us for your options.

Most students complete our full ICF ACTP Whole Person Certified Coach program in 6-10 months.  The duration of time varies based on how fast you schedule your coach training intensives and 3-month ICF Credentialing Process course.  

Our fast track program allows you to expedite your training with a week-long intensive. Attendees in this track typically complete the full program within 3-6 months.

That all depends on you! On average, our students report that they spend 3 to 5 hours a week completing their program and ICF requirements.

Unlike a university or community college, most of this time is spent at your convenience. Whenever you can fit the training into your schedule, it’s there waiting for you.

Please note that you have up to 2 years to complete your coursework.

While we encourage our students to start practicing coaching from day 1 of their training, it’s really up to you when you decide to officially coach for money.  We’ve had students who’ve charged $200/session right after their first training and others who offered a “student rate” until they felt comfortable. Our mission is to be with you every step of the way to help you become both a competent and confident coach. From this place, you’ll feel comfortable asking for what you are worth as you’ll be offering your best to your clients!

Yes, our Whole Person Certified Coach (WPCC) programs are fully accredited as an Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP)  with the International Coach Federation (ICF).

We are also accredited by the Center for Credentialing Education for the Board Certified Coach.

Our Whole Person Certified Coach program was initially delivered within the corporate arena in 2002. Back then, we were known as Baraka Institute: Coaching & Leadership Development.

Originally intended to boost the outcomes of leaders and employees alike, we quickly noticed the wide impact – personal as well as professional – that our methodology had on the lives of our business clients.

So in 2005, we opened our doors to the general public, offering our first 6-month certification program: Whole Person Design Coaching.

We continued to work with business leaders and organizations. At the same time, we saw an opportunity to create a global force of changemakers by offering the advanced skills that would allow anyone to work with the whole person.

Today we operate as Coach Training World (CTW) and serve an international network of influencers and changemakers. These are individuals like you – people who want to effect holistic, sustainable change by building on their unique skills and experience.

Feroshia Knight is an ICF Master Credentialed Coach with 36 years of entrepreneurial experience and leadership in the business of change. She began her award-winning career leaning on an extensive marketing background, educating and coaching other thought leaders and changemakers. Her mission: to help those who help others overcome the shadow of doubt so they can step into the biggest, brightest versions of their whole selves.

Step by step herself, Feroshia has transitioned from being a behind-the-scenes strategist and educator to taking center stage as an author, speaker, and global influencer. This momentum is also responsible for bringing her holistic coaching methodology, Whole Person Coaching, into the world.

For those in with advanced degrees in psychology or similar professions you can earn your Board Certified Coach designation with either our 30-hour or 60-hour BCC Coach Training.

Our Master Class Series allows you to earn the remaining 75 credits and apply them toward becoming a Master Credentialed Coach.
