Coaching Bio:

Jasmyne’s main focus as a coach is to assist teens who may need additional guidance, support, and mentorship in order to help them build self-confidence, shift stuck energy and negative self-talk, embrace and accept themselves for who they are, and move towards positive change and activities in their lives. Coaching and Mentoring sessions happen via phone or Zoom, so she is able to serve youth wherever they may live. She is a Certified Professional Coach, trained in the Whole Person Coaching method, through ICF accredited Coach Training World. She currently works at Empower Coaching and Training as a Life Coach for youth and adults as well as facilitating soft skills workshops for youth. She brings over 13 years’ experience as an educator and advisor in both High School and College settings where she has taught and advised youth and adults. Previous to her work with Empower, she spent 10 years serving as an Instructor and Advisor for the Adult Basic Skills/GED program at Rogue Community College where she assisted students in moving forward on their educational pathways, moving past barriers, and achieving their goals. Prior to that she worked for 3 years as a Dance Instructor and Dance Team Coach at Florence High School in Arizona. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education and has been trained as a Council facilitator. She has been a volunteer mentor with Rogue Valley Mentoring assisting with circle facilitation at the Middle School level as well as helping to facilitate restorative justice circles for teen girls exiting the VAYA (Victim Assistance Youth Accountability) program. She is the founder of Guided Passages, LLC, which offers Circles, Rites of Passage trips, and Coaching and Mentoring for youth in Southern Oregon. Guided Passages weaves mentorship and coaching with earth-based practices, circle work and ritual in order to support youth through their middle school and high school years and to help them mark transitions along the way.
