Dear friends, It is an unfortunate way of how I became a coach for persons with disability. I. myself experienced a severe spinal injury while riding my motorcycle back in 1985. It has taken this long to resurrect my life. There have been many trials and tribulations for sure, but most difficulties are those that are well understood by the patient themselves. I still have considerable disability which I can get into further with those who are interested. If you have experienced the financial ruin, loss of family and friends, temporary insanity and severe depression maybe we can help each other foster a brighter future. I am a recent Grad with a Certified Professional Coach certification from Coach Training World. For those who benefit from my coaching sessions, you know who you are and all that it entails. One could write a book as you very well know so I feel after 32 years of coping. I can at the very least.....relate! I have a business degree and all the core courses completed for my Masters in Counseling Psychology. I hope we meet soon, sincerely bill hunter

Feeling like you were made for something bigger? Want to make changes but struggle getting started? Is your mind running with possibilities unsure how to get things started? Does happiness and fulfillment seem to be only something you read in quotes lately? If you have answered yes to any of these questions then starting a coaching relationship can catapult your life from reading inspirational quotes to living them!

If you are at a crossroads in life and confused about which way to go I can help you find your path. Are struggling with family issues, unsatisfying relationships with others or yourself, not feeling fulfilled at work or looking into new ideas of spirituality and wellness? Beneath that noise inside you, is there a voice saying “it's time for change”. Change can be scary and this fear keeps us stuck existing rather than truly living. If you are ready to pull back the curtain and see what gifts you have to offer the world, let's work together to create the changes you desire and to truly live your happiness!

My name is Tara Stricker, I have 20 years of experience in the Human Services industry, empowering individuals to make changes in their lives. I am no stranger to the complexities and challenges that come along with making sustainable changes. One thing I have noticed through the years is a supportive relationship and a positive, empowered outlook are an essential asset necessary for making change. Working with a wide variety of populations I have helped clients with personal growth. I have worked alongside clients helping them to remove roadblocks that have hindered them from creating positive life, taught skills to become a self-advocate and developed strategies to maintaining the balanced life they desire. I have also taught values, strategies for coping with anger and ways to deal with opposition. I have celebrated their success and regrouped after the failures and through it all I am still always amazed at the strength of the human spirit.

In my personal life I have also faced challenges. When my husband suddenly became ill and passed away, I was at a crossroads. When he passed he was left with one big regret; that he had not risked and followed his dreams. This inspired me to take the path I had always dreamed of and planned on living...one day. Through this loss I learned why wait; today is the best day to start!

I am passionate about people and look forward to supporting you in choosing your path making the changes you desire to create the life you always dreamed of! Today IS your someday!

Are You Thriving?

The clinical requirements determining life or death are the existence of a beating heart and oxygen circulating through our lungs.

How do you want to experience your life? Do you want to be clinically alive or do you want to be THRIVING?

I believe connection is the key to a whole-hearted, thriving existence. It's a basic need next to the air we breathe and the beating of our hearts.

Our need to connect is so important we often compromise the true essence of who we are and how we allow ourselves to be seen by others. We do this to fit in, to stay connected. However, in doing so, many of us lose our true selves and then we fail to thrive.

My passion and purpose as a coach is to guide you on the journey of reawakening, reviving, and evolving you!

The foundation of every relationship you have with family & friends, career, food, health, money, sex, environment, creativity and your higher self is created from your internal relationship with you. To be fully alive, thriving, and connected with others (even God/Source/Universe), one must make the relationship to self the most important element in your life. Your wants, dreams, and desires matter. When they are fully embraced and expressed, you are a gift to the world.

If you're ready to take that journey, I'd love to be your guide in a life-changing transformation.

In the words of my client, Shannon Hutchins:
“Suzi’s empathetic, insightful, and compassionate nature make her a fantastic coach. Our sessions are full of laughter and introspection. Suzi’s positive attitude and supportive presence provide the perfect setting for some of the more difficult topics to come out. As a coach, she carefully acknowledges and expertly navigates the more personal topics. Our sessions vary in style depending on need, but Suzi adapts with ease and is very receptive to my feedback.

One of my biggest takeaways from my sessions with Suzi is the need to celebrate the small victories. Without her warm encouragement, I would not acknowledge my successes as well. The tools and exercises we use in our sessions make me more confident to face future challenges. My sessions with Suzi inspire me to reconnect with myself and my other relationships. I am forever grateful for having Suzi as a coach!”

About the journey:

I’ve had to remake and restructure parts of my own life over and over again. I’ve wanted to. And, by connecting my inner longings to outward expression, I’ve built resilience and a life I love.

It is not my ability to break challenges into manageable pieces that qualifies me as a life coach. It is not my long history with managing large projects or my strong record of asking questions that evoke solutions. I do these things well; but what really qualifies me is having lived through (author Googles “synonyms for shitstorm”) dilemmas, brouhahas, quandaries, entanglements, and heartbreaks. Some I handled better than others.

I’ve been left behind. Deceived. I've been a smoker and destructive drinker. I've gone through times where I struggled to buy food, have studied for a profession that wasn’t a fit (more than once), strode ill-equipped into blending a family, quit things, ended relationships, gotten fired, and had conflict with other humans. I built a house with my man but not with much money. Both of my parents have died. I’ve been through a pandemic!

AND

I've traveled to beautiful places to hike for days on end, planted stunning gardens, delightfully decorated my home, found deep friends, and laughed often with my husband. I’ve celebrated decades of marriage and have enjoyed the company of my grown stepdaughter. I’ve played chamber music and jazz with joy in public, and evolved to find work that moves me—work that is service. I've gained know-how and earned respect in business dealings. This side of the storm is intentional and full.

If you are in a pickle, tight corner, soap opera, hassle, or predicament, I'd like to help. We'll start where you are, then activate your most resourced spaces by listening to mind, body, and heart. I would love to see you step into a future in which the richest version of you emerges.

Without knowing why, I began to fill my mental library with lesson after lesson, much like the beloved books that fill my bookshelves. I realize, now, that as I learned about others, I have learned even more about myself.

I'm a divorce and transition coach. I help midlife professionals create their authentic life through planning and execution. In addition to years of related training and experience (as a lawyer, negotiator, mediator, HR manager and consultant), I completed my amicable divorce in 2017. I never thought I'd get divorced, but it was the right decision for me. In 2015, I began my self-help journey, reading every self-help book available and listening to hundreds of hours of podcasts. I became interested in coaching by studying the work of Tony Robbins, Jennifer Bailey, Wayne Dyer, Brene Brown, Abraham Hicks, and Gary Zukav, to name a few. I completed course work on the Science of Happiness (under EdX). In 2017, after my divorce, my life has improved dramatically, I created a divorce Meetups group, to help those at various stages support each other and learn about the process. I found that people are afraid of divorce and ill informed. My divorce was amicable and I didn't want others to experience the confusion, self-doubt, and judgment that plagued me. Although, I have the experience and training to help people confront major life decisions such as relocation, divorce, separation, career change, co-parenting, life dissatisfaction, and illness, I also have the personal experience of taking action in major areas of my life and overcoming adversity. If you're struggling with your relationship, career, or other situation, and are considering whether to move on; or if you're just plain stuck, I can help you identify the issues, organize them, and develop an action plan to move you forward, and live your most authentic life. Your fulfillment has no price tag. Investing in yourself is critical to your well-being, and essential to your growth. My process entails forging a strong, safe, and trusting relationship with my client, reflecting and observing, using proven coaching techniques, asking the right questions, and holding my client accountable for his or her commitments. If you're ready to own your situation and improve it, and you're least thinking about what to do, please schedule a complimentary "get acquainted" session, at no cost. I'm looking forward to hearing from and learning about you!

Having lived with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome for 30 years, I understand the ways in which chronic illness can shut us down and make us feel uninspired. And as a queer woman and anthropologist, I have navigated the difficulties and wonders of my own place in the queer community. Even in the most difficult circumstances, I can travel alongside you to access your own greatest resources, motivation, and hope. For my clients who are experiencing the upheaval of a new medical diagnosis, I walk with you through the process of learning how to make changes in your life that will accommodate your needs, alleviate the physical difficulties in your environment, and allow you to find optimism and enjoyment in your new circumstances. For those with chronic illness, I help you foster your own greatest strengths to make productive and positive change within your routine, to alter existing, ineffective habits, and to discover creativity and faith within yourself.

For my clients in the queer and polyamorous communities, I bring a creative and joyful perspective to navigating relationship-building, communication skills, family change, and personal identity. I feel deeply that all those who seek and foster love in their lives should have a rich and meaningful toolbox from which to act, create, and experience.

ANSWER THIS QUESTION: WHAT BRINGS YOU JOY?

I’m Robin and I help depleted givers discover joy. You’ll hear my story later, but… could this be yours?

You are a GIVER: Busy, involved, committed. Your life feels complete. You have important people and situations to pour your heart into. But you have been giving so much to so many, you are depleted. You want to feel joy and excitement, but you are overscheduled. Joy isn’t even on your list. Answering the question of “what brings me joy” stumps you at first. You’re not sure if it’s ok to ask for more. Your life is full and should feel very rewarding. You worry that if you want to seek joy for yourself, you will appear selfish or ungrateful.

You admit you can’t stay depleted forever. You want to have a full bucket so you have something to share. This is what really matters to you. You could be more helpful to others if you had more within.

And, if you are honest, you want to have a full bucket for you. You want to have energy, zest, spontaneous adventures and fun. You want to feel great about your life, the whole thing, even the self-care part… the part that always comes last, if it comes at all.

Spare time is nonexistent, and you don’t believe you should slow down to focus on yourself. You don’t want to give anything up, but you recognize that if you had the time, things would be different. You would add in some of the things that used to make your heart sing, things that used to make you feel most alive.

Life is full, life is busy, yet your deepest fear is that this is all there is.

Sound familiar?

I’VE BEEN THERE AND IT ISN'T FUN

I was last on my own lists. Who am I kidding, my name never even made it onto the page. I love being a giver. The world is hurting and I can do something about it. All of my endeavors have involved giving: Contributing to a marriage, being actively involved in the lives of our two children, running a nutrition counseling practice for those with eating disorders, building a youth ministry program, providing life enrichment for senior citizens in care homes.

To me, giving is as natural as breathing.

But giving to myself… that’s another story.

I rarely factored myself into any of the above. I did not want to address my own needs. I didn’t think there was time. And I believed it was selfish. My thought was, “I am selfless, I am here for others!” I ignored multiple warnings from loved ones. You know, “You have to take care of yourself if you want to be able to take care of anyone else.” I thought they were wrong, that I am not like other people. I am a giver.

Then it happened… I ran myself into the ground. It all came to a screeching halt. I crashed and burned.

I became apathetic – me! – I didn’t care.

I did NOT care.

You know those stories of people who survived their own deaths? I could relate. I felt like I had flatlined. Let me say, it was scary, uncharted territory, and I did not like being there. My bucket was empty and I could no longer give.

I did not know that seeking joy for myself could have prevented this. I had been a happy person, living the life I wanted. But happiness and joy are different. I had neglected my own personal joy for so long– never addressing what brings ME joy. It was all about bringing OTHERS joy - and I had mountains of inner work to do as a result.

I got professional help. It took so much time out of my schedule. I missed 6 weeks of work. I could not face the fact that I didn’t care about work, so I didn’t go in. I didn’t get paid. I felt like such a failure. I learned that I had become depressed because I had not been meeting my own basic needs. For the first time, I thought, “What in the heck do I NEED?”

I realized that one of my greatest sources of joy was self-care and I was no longer going to ignore my needs.

BEAUTY FROM THE ASHES

I now try to prioritize my needs because of the joy it gives me. It feels great! I still love reaching out to others, I just remember to reach out to myself.

When my personal joy bucket is full, I have so much to give. THE TRUTH IS, WHEN I AM JOYFUL, I HAVE EVEN MORE TO GIVE THAN I EVER HAD BEFORE! I would love to help you add joy to your life before it’s too late, before you have nothing to give. Let’s figure out what brings YOU joy. Let’s fill YOUR joy bucket together and watch it overflow!

Here is the beautiful thing that must not be overlooked: Seeking joy is not selfish! It’s the exact opposite, because joy is contagious! It’s impossible to fill your joy bucket without it spilling over. Simply put, joy coaching is like a “buy one, get a load free” investment.

JOY COACHING IS A THING BECAUSE I SAID SO

I had never heard of a joy coach, but that didn’t matter. I knew that I could help depleted givers add joy to their lives, so I took a leap of faith and got the training and certification I needed. My clients have LOVED adding joy to their lives! Every one of them has had a different answer to the “what brings you joy” question. Some find it in adventure, some find it in stronger relationships, others find it in improving their health, adopting quiet time, strengthening their faith, or finding a career they love.

JOY WITH YOUR CHILDREN: A working mom wanted a closer relationship with her son. Through joy coaching, she learned that she really didn’t know his interests, so she asked him questions to feel better connected. They discovered they both enjoy some of the same music and began attending concerts together. They now share songs and discuss the impact of the music on their lives. She is overjoyed at knowing her son on a deeper level!

JOY WITH YOUR SWEETHEART: An author was having trouble with his marriage. He and his wife were living on separate continents and she wouldn’t open his messages or take his calls. Through joy coaching, he realized knowing God brings him joy. As he spent more time deepening his relationship with God, it changed his thinking. He viewed his marriage differently. He wrote his wife a 10-page love letter from his new-found perspective and she opened it. They are now eagerly waiting to be reunited.

JOY AT ANY SIZE: A budding entrepreneur wanted to have confidence in her body and start dating. Joy coaching helped her discover that dancing makes her feel alive. She began to incorporate dance breaks as rewards into her workday. She loved the feel of the dance breaks and extended them. Without even trying, she began to love her body. She has since begun meeting new people.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

What’s your story?

You must be a giver or you wouldn’t have made it to the end.

Be honest, are you feeling depleted? Did you know that adding joy on a personal level can keep your bucket from running empty and add richness that can be shared?

And, the big question: What brings you joy? I can help you answer the big question, and I can help you obtain whatever it is that brings you joy. My hope is that joy coaching can help you do what you love most: Give fully to the people and causes you care about, by also giving to yourself.

I’m a creativity coach who helps people live their most prolific, authentic, and joy-filled lives. Whether you’re a blocked artist, or don’t consider yourself to be creative but you’ve always wanted to be, I will partner with you to set your inner artist free.

I believe every human is naturally creative. As a 4-year-old, if you were given a pack of crayons and a blank piece of paper, you probably started drawing in a heartbeat. At some point, though, you may have had a painful experience that forced your inner artist into hiding; perhaps your art was criticized or you were twirling in your tutu and you were told to grow up. It’s the reason many of us draw at a 2nd grade level; that’s right around the time we received the message that our art isn’t good enough. But when we hold ourselves back from creativity, we experience dullness, disconnection, and dissatisfaction. I’m here to help you rediscover your vitality and find joy and fulfillment in the everyday. I will offer my full support and cheer you on as you get in tune with your authentic self, find your unique brilliance, and create from a place of deeply rooted confidence.

I have gone from being a blocked artist to an extremely creative one. I was steeped in the arts from a young age, yet my creativity was stifled. I earned a classical education at home, studying Latin, Greek, math, and music. I learned classical cello and ballet, dedicating myself to perfection in both arts. Just when I thought I was headed towards a career in music or dance, I developed achilles tendonitis and had to quit ballet. I began to practice even more intensely, putting all my energy into cello, and just when I had received a full scholarship to study the instrument, I sustained an overuse injury in my forearms which required that I take six months off. Instead of giving up on being an artist, I found new ways to harness my creativity. I started writing songs, and found a home in my voice by converting string melodies to lyrical lines; a playground of freedom and expression. I began taking different styles of dance, like West African, Jazz, and Swing. Eventually, though, I went from the classical “box” to the singer-songwriter “box”, and felt the same pressure to succeed that I once had. I became extremely focused on writing and recording only songs that would sell, rather than allowing myself an enjoyable creative outlet. I signed with a licensing agency, and had songs placed with Netflix, Snapchat, Michael Kors, and the CW. And I experienced more stress and blockages than ever before, going months at a time without writing. Finally, I began my journey of creative recovery. I remembered why I wanted to write songs in the first place. The joy of music and movement began to captivate me once again, and I began figure skating, my earliest childhood dream. I also released a solo EP in May of 2020.

Through my own journey as well as through working with others, I have learned a lot about the creative process, what gets in the way, and how we can learn to have more of it in our lives. I have helped people break through to write their first song, get on stage for the first time, and sing after not having done so for decades. If you want to revive your inner artist, and embrace your life more deeply and wholeheartedly through creativity, I’d love to partner with you to bring your dreams to life.

Perfectionism has been my greatest teacher, best friend, and worst enemy.

I help my coaching clients move forward by helping them stay in the sweet spot between ambition and self-compassion.

I come to coaching with more than a decade as an international language teacher and administrator and yoga instructor. In these cherished roles, I've helped thousands of people achieve their goals through providing a supportive presence and making plans for small consistent changes to produce sustainable, heart-centered, and dare I say: FUN results!

To help my clients tap into their clarity, I use somatic mindfulness techniques such as placing a hand over your heart and belly, feeling your breath, and listening in to what your gut is saying.

I'll offer meditation at the beginning of our sessions to drop you into the rich space of your inner wisdom. These are optional, but powerful at bringing a sense of calm to our sessions according to my clients.

I'm a big believer in celebrating all progress, big and small and finding joy in the process. So if you want to:

*feel better in your skin
*resolve a personal or professional communication conflict
*change careers
*start or finish a creative project
*go back to school
*get more clients
*make more time for the people and pursuits you love

How much do you know about the power of your “Second Self”? I found mine the hard way. However, after going through the steps and officially becoming a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), I can support you to carve yours out smoothly.

Your story might be different, but the end outcome can surprisingly be similar...

My father was a superhuman, a high-achiever and an overly successful manager running large corporates, multi-disciplinary teams and mega-scale industrial projects all through my childhood and young adult life. Surprise, surprise, as an enthusiastic teenager with a lot of external drive and supporting evidence, I became interested in engineering and management!

Passion, progress and satisfaction are what we constantly seek for in our personal and professional lives. We tend to get inspired by what is defined as success, look around for it and try to follow footsteps of successful people with the intention of making it ours. Every single human being is born unique, with potential to offer something special to the world. So, no wonder if copy/pasting other people’s paths hasn’t resulted in profound satisfaction. We seriously need to believe in our uniqueness and look inward to find our specialty, then embody and manifest it in the world while we still have time.

I completed a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and a Master and a Ph.D in Structural Engineering. I worked for a combination of eight years in the industry. Alongside my professional career, I was also involved in research and academia. All in all, happy workplaces, happy clients, lots of rewards, and ample positive feedback from the environment.

What I hadn’t realised was, all these were external indicators known to the world as signs of success. I have to confess, they were too tangible and tasty to be neglected and it was just easier not (wanting!) to hear my inner voice. The voice which had already started warning me to my path, grew stronger with time and “ignoring” became a painful choice by day. Nevertheless, I kept choosing to ignore the signs until it was too late… Since I hadn’t paid my “self” the attention it deserved, it crushed me to a bedrock of depression/anxiety and I came to a full stop!

Long story short, I had to go through the path of self rediscovery, revaluation and realisation of a new “me”. It took a long time to untangle the tightly knitted web that life had beautifully strangled me in over the years. It was hard, painful and came at a huge expense of my time, energy and money. Maybe all I needed was support of someone who deeply listened, truly cared and wisely helped, so I could travel the right path, my path, one step at a time.

Well, things are very different now… I have my passion at heart, my purpose in mind and my new self by side. I have named this process the “Graceful Destruction”, and my new self the “Second Self”. I have gone through a long, arduous and organic process alone to make this happen and start living life. But you don’t have to do it the hard way, you shouldn’t have to spend such long time and certainly you don’t have to travel the path alone.

As a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) who has walked the walk, I am here to support you find your uniqueness and live your ambition so you can live the life you truly deserve from inside out.

If you resonate with these and want to know more about “Second Self Coaching” and how it works, go to my website and book a free 30-minute consultation session to see if this special coaching is for you.

I am a Resilience and Wellness Coach and Health Practitioner passionate about whole person wellness and mind-body health. The combination of my education and experience allow me to inspire others to explore and discover their greatest potential while finding restorative balance within themselves and in their lives. I have over two decades of experience in providing support during times of crisis, trauma, and grief. I focus on stress management, grief and loss, self-awareness and relationships, nervous system restoration and regulation, and building resilience skills for life. My education has given me the tools to offer an integrative approach; ranging from neuroscience, neurobiology, somatic experiencing, body-based movement, self-compassion, mindfulness, positive psychology, strength-based mindset, and depth psychology.

I have a balance of education and experience. I obtained my Doctor of Psychology with my dissertation research based upon stress in the fields of Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement. For seven years I provided psychotherapy and treatment services in a private practice setting. Prior to being in private practice I worked in the medical field for fifteen years; five years in the hospital as a CNA, ICU Technician, and Emergency Department Technician, and ten years on a 911 ambulance as an EMT. I have seven years law enforcement experience as a Deputy Coroner/Board Certified Death Investigator along with being a Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Health Practitioner. Each one of these careers has paved the path for the passion I have for whole-person wellness.

My proactive approach focuses mainly on prevention. Specifically, I address the missing link in health and wellness - getting to the root cause, which more often than not, is a dysregulated nervous system. I utilize an integrative approach with science-based modalities to help clients to reset their nervous system. I provide a safe environment for people to discover, cultivate, and restore from past challenges to create a place of healing within themselves. Once back to a regulated state, clients learn a proactive way to manage stressors and thrive in life’s challenges.

I am always learning and researching the best and most effective ways to help guide people in their journey to wellness. I use various techniques in the guidance process. I am excited for this soulful, heart forward adventure and I look forward to meeting you along this journey.
