Yes, our Whole Person Certified Coach (WPCC) programs are fully accredited as an ACTP (Level II) program with the International Coach Federation (ICF).

We teach all of our courses and offer mentoring in English.  Many of our students are not native English speakers though!

What's the difference between the CORE, Associate & Professional

At Coach Training World, we believe in you getting exactly what you need!

Our Core: Certification program provides you with the first half of our signature Whole Person Certified Coach program. It gives you everything you need to get started coaching.

Our Associate Certification includes the CORE coach training program, but also provides you with the additional requirements to pursue and ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) designation.

Our Professional Certification includes the CORE coach training program, but also provides you with the additional requirements to pursue and ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation. Plus additional bonus courses. This program is for those who are interested in being skillful, agile and creative as a coach. Confident as you enter the field.

What is the time commitment for the program?

That all depends on you! On average, our students report that they spend 3 to 10 hours a week on the program. Unlike a university or community college, most of this time is spent at your convenience. Whenever you can fit the training into your schedule, it’s there waiting for you. Please note that you have up to 2 years to complete your coursework.

What if I have a schedule conflict with a course?

From time to time, we all have unavoidable scheduling conflicts or find ourselves a little under the weather. Unlike a college course, all of our sessions are recorded, enabling you to take part live or at a time that’s more convenient for you. Audio files of our calls are uploaded to the web and available for on-demand streaming. This ensures that you’ll never miss out or fall behind. Please note: if you are applying for your ICF credential and know that you are going to miss more than a couple hours of training, Contact Us for your options.

Student experience Questions:

What is the success rate of your students?

You might see websites that claim X% of their students make “X” amount of money. The truth is: success is defined by the individual. Those who are devoted and willing to do the work necessary to launch their business will prosper. Those who are already entrepreneurs are further down the road – they’ve learned some skills – and so can you. With your devotion and the right support, it’s 100% possible, and that’s where we’d like to help you.  If you are serious about starting your own business, you’ll love our CoachPreneur Academy. We can’t guarantee your success. But we can promise to give you what you need to pursue success, as you define it, in the most efficient, strategic and cost-effective way possible. With hard work and creativity, you’ll be amazed how far you can go. For examples of our past graduates, please view our success stories distributed through out our website.

Can I read your testimonials or speak with a graduate?

Why Yes! Please do.  Here is a link to a few of our testimonials!

Please contact us if you’d like to speak with a graduate or two. Unlike many schools we don’t pay our graduates to promote us. You’ll get real truth about their experience.

Will I be learning from Master Coach Feroshia?

You may have gotten wind that Feroshia has trained some exceptional ICF Credentialed PCC Coaches from our community to step forward and take over at the head of the classroom. It’s true!

These coach trainers are every bit as knowledgeable, seasoned, supportive and committed to the success of future coaches as Feroshia. Well, almost…

If you are interested in training with Feroshia, we encourage you to email us to find out what courses she is teaching. (She really loves the classroom and also needs to finish another book!)

Other commonly asked questions:

What if I don’t want to quit my job?

Coach training skills are needed everywhere. While it may seem like 1000’s seek coach training to leap out of their day jobs – just as many recognize these skills help them become more effective leaders, developers and better communicators and that often leads to promotions and professional acceleration.

Coaching amplifies your capacity to work effectively with others. And some of our graduates stay in the career they have while taking some private clients on the side – additional income!

Plus in recent times, we’ve had a number of coaching firms open. Which means you can work for them as a subcontractor while you build your business.

What if I don’t know how to get clients?

You’re not alone – that’s a common concern. And that’s why we’ve added our business course as a bonus into your program INFUSE: Live Your Brilliance.  This program ensures that you are creating the right business model and marketing strategy to build a successful business that you love.

Do I need to know what my niche is?

No! While it’s very common that through the training process you discover hidden talents and passions that often lead you to an unexpected dream-come-true client base, we’ve bonused in our Discover You: Get Niched coaching program. During this event you’ll explore various niche opportunities, and then create your self-defined niche. A niche that allows you to infuse your experience, expertise and personality into a way of helping those who need you the most!

Plus your Bonus “INFUSE: Live Your Brilliance” program takes Discover You a step further. This business program is geared toward helping you achieve the clarity around your offer, your audience and how to market yourself authentically and effectively. Inside this course, we’ll explore:

  • What you have that others want and will pay for!
  • Curing “ideaitis” – sifting through your many options to create the best offer with an eye on your passion that meets your financial goals
  • Translate your unique offering into an irresistible offer for others.
  • Specifics of your unique offering (What problem do you solve?)
  • Your ideal audience and how to know that your idea is right for them
  • PLUS: You’ll also create a business model and marketing plan to ensure you begin (and remain) strategic in the steps ahead

These are vital foundational steps toward starting a successful coaching business – one that will sustain you financially and emotionally by generating happiness, fulfillment, and success throughout your life. You’ll walk away from this program with radical clarity on exactly what you have to offer, who wants it, and how you can earn the most from it.

Can I really make good money as a coach?

There seems to be a “belief” that coaching work or doing good for others doesn’t pay well. That simply isn’t true. While some of our graduates are making 6-figures annually, it’s up to you to decide how much you’ll make. We can’t promise you a certain income – no school should. But we do give you the training and business support you need to be successful. You really can make money doing what you love.

Summer Fast Track Questions:

Should you attend in-person or online?

Why online training?

As technology continues to simplify and even expedite coach training, online delivery has notable advantages. Here are some of the ways you can improve the quality and return on your training investment from the comfort of your home or office:

  • Social distancing for some is the “new norm.”  If that’s you, we’ve made it easy for you to train from the safety of your own space and avoid the worries that come with public places. No mask needed!
  • Save on costs associated with travel, including airfare and hotel. Are you local? Save on gas and redirect those resources where they’re most needed (while reducing your carbon footprint!).
  • Greater productivity. Fill your downtime with personal improvement. Why not multitask while you’re at it? Complete a training module as laundry sloshes away in the machine or dinner simmers on the stove.
  • Extended network. Our online seminars encompass a broad, diverse range of participants from across the world. Share your training experience with someone from the EU, Brazil, Russia, or Australia.
  • Custom environment & personal comforts. Set up your surroundings to facilitate your optimal learning style and preferences – from comfortable clothing to free-roaming furry companions. And…

Online delivery now allows you to schedule a working retreat or stay-at-home vacation from anywhere in the world. Imagine how different your life could be this fall, without ever leaving the comfort and safety of home!

Why in-person training?

Yes, it’s more convenient and affordable to stay home and join us virtually. But when it comes to making a positive change in your life, sometimes you have to give yourself what you really need:

  • Time to reflect. Treat yourself to quality “you time,” free of distractions as you work towards your goals and future career.
  • Inspiration. Build lifelong professional relationships with people devoted to working and advancing their personal and professional status.
  • Relaxation. Enjoy the comfort of our retreat-like studio, nestled in the Alberta Arts District and graced by a gentle waterfall flowing softly in the background.
  • Connection. Feel more in-tune with your peers and Feroshia. Get inspired and experience life-enhancing breakthroughs in the warmth of our supportive professional community.
  • Enjoyment. Soak up the green beauty and warm summer sun of Portland, Oregon. Why not bring your partner or family along too!

You work hard. Now it’s time for you to give yourself the dedicated space and environment you need to create the changes you most desire.

Choose what’s best for you!

If you prefer to attend in-person, yet have concerns… let’s talk. It’s our intention that everyone feels safe and understands clearly what to expect.

If you would rather complete your training through distance learning, our online experience is just as rich and comprehensive as the one you receive in person.

Value and satisfaction are guaranteed either way. The choice is yours.

Do you have questions or concerns that aren’t addressed here? Contact us to discuss the best option for you.

Is there a limit to the number of people who can attend in-person?

Yes, we are only hosting a limited number of people in-person. If you are interested in attending in-person, please choose the in-person options for your IMPACT: July 21st-23rd, 2024 and IGNITE: July 24th – 26th, 2024 when you select your summer fast track dates.

What's the schedule like?

For our summer intensive we’ll meet from 9:00a-3:00p (PDT) daily as a whole group.
After class each day you’ll have 1-2 hours of additional homework which can be completed via self-study or with others.

If you’re joining us in Portland, OR we are within 1000 feet of coffee shops, restaurants, food carts, yoga studios, soaking pools, underground hot springs, craft beer, bakeries, parks… were you can continue the fun in the sun!

We’ll have optional gatherings as well to further connect, network and grow!

If I attend virtually, what can I expect?

Some of us prefer to attend trainings in-person. But there are many factors that can make it a challenge to do so: travel expenses, time away from home, scheduling difficulties, and the myriad of preferred learning styles and speeds.

These findings can’t diminish how much we love having you visit us here at our facility in Portland, Oregon. But the web-based coach training program opens our curriculum to a diverse mix of students around the globe – deepening the learning for all of us. That’s why so many new and seasoned coaches are gravitating toward the online platform.

If you’re participating for the first time, you still might be wondering about the actual experience. Here’s what you can expect…

The virtual experience

So what’s it like to train online for five days? As any of our graduates will tell you: it’s convenient, comfortable and interactive.

Our Virtual Intensives are highly interactive. Expect a comprehensive mix of education on all the essentials and coaching competencies. These are combined with active participation in demos, group discussions and practice sessions. You’ll also have unlimited access to the vast coaching resources and manuals we’ve amassed in the past two decades in our student center.

And we’ll be there to mentor you every step of the way.

If you have questions or need any additional support, we’re ready to help. Feel free to chime in at any point if you need further examples or explanation on any of the concepts we present.

By the way: that doesn’t apply to just questions – if something strikes a chord with you, let us all know. Our differences make us great! You may share an example that snaps a concept into focus for someone else.

Don’t be shy: your contribution makes our Online Intensives unique to you!

Technical aspects

We use Zoom, a web-based platform that provides conferencing and messaging on any device. One of things we like most about the platform is that it gives you the option to view all the participants at once or focus solely on the speaker.

During breakout sessions, you’ll move to a private chatroom with 1 to 4 other people, depending on the exercises. Here you can enjoy the privacy to practice, deepen your understanding of the material, and apply it to your chosen application. Many coaches have discovered new opportunities based on the conversations and ideas that spring from these fun, creative gatherings. Plus, you’re only a click away from calling your instructor’s attention should you need help or additional clarification on something.

We are always there for you! The Zoom conference setup allows you to attend on multiple devices, syncing between your smartphone, tablet and home or office computer. We recommend participating on the largest screen possible. This enables you to see the other participants and allows them to see you. For this reason, we do ask that you participate on a device that has an active web-cam.

Do people spend time outside of class together?

Yes, they do. But if that’s not for you, you’ll have plenty of time inside class too.

Should I bring my partner, husband, wife, family, dog?

Yes! There are lots of things for them to see and do in the area while you’re in class. Training will finish each day at 3:00p, so you can join them for the afternoon, and the sun will be up until around 9:00 pm during the summer.

And if you have a furry friend, we can help you to plan for their stay. Please note as much as we love animals, we only allow registered service animals into the training room due to allergies.

Yes, Portland is very dog-friendly. (Says the mom of two pups!)  Please note if you are coming in-person you may choose to connect with your peers after class for networking and practice too!

Can I upgrade my certification program to add the ICF credential?

Our Summer Fast Track allows you to join us live for our IMPACT & IGNITE courses.  These courses along with Discover You, INSIGHT: WPC Starter Kit & WPC Foundations allow you to earn your CORE: Certification. You can always upgrade your certification to become a Whole Person Certified Coach and/or pursue an ICF Professional or ICF Associate credential. You’d complete your remaining coursework via zoom and self-study after our in-person training.

Yes, you can. If you decide to upgrade your certification within 6 months of starting the program, you can apply the tuition paid toward a higher level certification. Please note there is a $200 upgrade fee. Please contact us for full details.

Financial Questions:

Are their additional program expenses that I should know about?

Lodging is not included. Will though have snacks and beverages available.

RE: Training…  Our coach training program is all-inclusive with the exception of any membership or final exam fees that the International Coach Federation requires. These fees may range from $100 to $500 based on the pathway you choose to apply with at the ICF website, and whether or not you are an ICF member. If you are looking to earn your ICF credential please enroll in either our ASSOCIATE or PROFESSIONAL programs so that you are signing up for all of the required courses, mentoring, etc.

Upon enrollment of our coach training program, you can become an ICF member.

Are accommodations included? Where do I stay?

Your tuition covers all of your training expenses including your manuals, coaching tools. We’ll have plenty of healthy snacks and beverages as well!

Your tuition does not cover your airfare or accommodations.

There is a great choice of hotels, bed and breakfasts and AirBnB’s in Portland. Our “Alberta Arts Studio” is located 7 minutes from downtown Portland – just a $15 ride with Lyft & Uber. Alternatively, we have a number of AirBnB’s in the Alberta Arts district that are walking distance to the training and only 15 minutes from the airport. We are more than happy to help you to find your ideal accommodations.

There is also a new spa-like hotel about to open on NE Alberta street 5 minutes away if you prefer luxury accommodations. Or an alternative to an AirBnB.

Want to share a room with others? Let us know we’ll help you to get the word out! On average, students spend anywhere from $50-200/night on accommodations.  There are a number of grocery stores and restaurants all within walking distance.

In other words… You really don’t need a car unless you want to do some sight seeing!

It’s a lot of money for me….

Past graduate Amy – shared with us recently, “Signing up took a pretty good measure of trust in the universe that I’d be able to do this. And of course, I did and it’s paid off.“ While graduate Melanie offered this wisdom, “I pondered it for a long time and finally got up the nerve to put the investment down for it. I’d  been thinking about getting a Masters in Organizational Development (about $60,000!) or I could take Feroshia’s program – for MUCH less – and still fulfill my passion to help.” While certainly training to become a professional credentialed coach is an investment, in our opinion one well-worth making if you are ready to change your career, life and maybe even start a business.

There has never been a better time to step into the coaching profession. Long gone are the days where a coach is thought of as a sports coach. People, businesses and large corporations are using coaching to improve their lives and become highly effective. In fact, many of our students have shared that the training alone was worth every penny if if they never became a coach.  Coach training is about leveling up all areas of your life. What is that worth to you?

Are there financing options outside of CTW's payment plans?

Why yes!  There are a number of financial institutions that are here to help you with your career change. In additional you can always go through companies like PayPal.com to create a payment plan with them similar to a credit card loan.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We are able to process payment as follows:

  • Credit Card:  Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, and Discover
  • Check: Personal or Business Checks
  • Money Orders
  • PayPal & PayPal Credit
  • International Wire Transfer
  • Venmo
Do you offer scholarships or financial aid?

Other than split-pay, we do not offer any additional financing options, such as financial aid or scholarships, at this time. If you need a special payment plan we invite you to speak with our business manager.

Because of the deep value we’re committed to providing, we keep our school small. This enables us to provide the highest level of professional coach training and business mentoring possible. In this program, you won’t be swimming in a sea of thousands but rather engaging and learning alongside a select group of others who are deeply devoted to developing a highly successful business of their own. Also, we have discovered that when someone invests in their development, they are positioning themselves for success. This is one of the lessons you’ll learn to do strategically and effectively in this program. In turn, you’ll be using this same philosophy to ask your clients to invest in your services and programs. It’s worth noting that many people earn back their tuition within the first year. Some even earn 10 times their tuition (or more). The results are different for each attendee. And those who are committed to do what it takes, do succeed.

How do I get my employer to pay for this?

We’ve found that employers are often delighted to fund your training, especially if you position the training as a solution to what they perceive as their biggest needs and show them how you could be the next game changer within your company. Companies throughout the world are bringing coaching into their culture as their secret weapon to success. Why not? If you’ll recall Amy – her HR department told her how much less turnover there was – that’s a HUGE money- and time-saver for businesses!
